Artists-In-Residency Program
Artists-in- residency program provides a safe and creative space for up to one year to artists looking to engage in opportunities to experience Ethiopia, while sharing their talent and creativity with AFC Children. Food, housing, and workspace will be provided to the artists during the residency program. Each artists is responsible for the cost of their travel including airfare and to and from Ethiopia.
Art Pen Pal
Art pen pal is an exchange program that allows AFC children and students from other countries to share stories, ideas, and experiences through a variety of printmaking processes. Each pen pal member will be matched with a child from the AFC home along with the child's short bio, photo and mylar drawings. The AFC organization will be responsible for all shipping, handling and provision of all necessary supplies including printing paper, ink, etc.. as a master printer, each student pen pale will work with an assigned child's drawing to produce images for printing, editing and curating. Selected artwork will be exhibited at galleries and sold online with all proceeds donated to Artists for Charity.
Volunteer and Educational Services
As part of our goal to
connect communites, we provide volunteer services for Ethiopians abroad
and opportunities for members of the Ethiopian diaspora to work in their
home communities. Our educational services include seminars on current
issues in Ethiopian communities both at home and abroad. Topics include
women's rights, HIV/AIDS, children's rights, investment opportunities.
AFC provides a safe environment for anyone to volunteer in Ethiopia,
